Austin Dillon Aims for Third Consecutive Richmond Cup Win
Austin Dillon is preparing to compete for his third consecutive win at Richmond Raceway in the NASCAR Cup Series. Dillon, who drives for Richard Childress Racing, has achieved two victories at this track in the past two years, including a controversial win on August 11, 2024, where he intentionally wrecked competitors in the final moments of the race.
His second victory came on August 16, 2025, where he led 107 of 400 laps, marking a significant performance in his career. Despite facing challenges with the new Chevrolet body and currently sitting 27th in the standings, Dillon's team is focused on improving their execution and making necessary adjustments to their car.
A win at Richmond would be particularly meaningful for Dillon and his team, as they have not secured a Cup win since the passing of Kyle Busch in May. While a victory will not qualify him for the playoffs due to changes in the format, it remains a critical goal for the No. 3 team.
