Austin Hill to Compete Full-Time for Richard Childress Racing in 2027
Austin Hill is set to drive the No. 33 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series on a full-time basis starting next season, as announced by the team.
This season, Hill has participated in 15 Cup races but has not achieved a top 10 finish. Despite this, he has secured 16 wins over the past five seasons while driving RCR's No. 21 Chevrolet in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and has qualified for the Chase each year.
Richard Childress, chairman and CEO of RCR, praised Hill's talent and work ethic, noting his growth as a driver and person. Hill expressed gratitude for the opportunity to compete full-time in the Cup Series, emphasizing the significance of this chance in his racing career.
