Austin Hill to Compete Full-Time in NASCAR Cup Series for RCR in 2027
Austin Hill is set to race full-time in the No. 33 car for Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series beginning in 2027, as announced by the team.
Hill has achieved 16 combined victories while qualifying for the Chase over the past five seasons in RCR's No. 21 car in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series. This season, he has participated in 15 Cup races but has not yet secured a top-10 finish. He took over the No. 33 car earlier this year following the passing of Kyle Busch.
Richard Childress, chairman and CEO of RCR, praised Hill's talent and dedication, noting his growth as a driver and individual. Hill, who hails from Winston, Georgia, previously owned a racing team that competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series from 2013 to 2017.
