Australia Defeats Scotland in WXV Global Series Match
In a recent WXV Global Series match held in Canberra, Australia triumphed over Scotland, who failed to maintain their half-time lead, resulting in Scotland's ninth consecutive Test defeat.
Australia started strong with early tries from Amelia Whitaker and Maya Stewart, leading 14-0 within the first 12 minutes. Scotland responded with a try from captain Rachel Malcolm, and after a yellow card for Australia, Aicha Sutcliffe scored, narrowing the gap. Scotland took the lead with Katie Buchanan's try, but Australia quickly regained control in the second half with a try from Faitala Moleka and another from Piper Duck, extending their lead.
Despite a late try from Malcolm, Scotland could not close the gap as Australia secured the victory. The match concluded with both teams finishing with fewer than 15 players due to multiple yellow cards.
