Kyoki, formerly known as Hiromu Takahashi, and Shinsuke Nakamura, debuted as the tag team Bakusai during WWE SmackDown, securing a win over The Miz and Kit Wilson.

This match marked Kyoki's first televised appearance alongside Nakamura, following a dark match debut the previous week. The match was brief, with Nakamura initially facing both opponents before tagging in Kyoki, who ultimately pinned Wilson.

Post-match, Bakusai was confronted by the current WWE Tag Team Champions, Talla and Tama Tonga, who were accompanied by their father Haku. Kyoki has a history with Tama from their time in NJPW, having recently concluded a 16-year career in Japan.
