Ballon d'Or 2026 Ceremony Takes Place in London
The 70th Ballon d'Or ceremony is currently taking place in London, marking the first time the event is hosted in the city. This prestigious occasion celebrates the top individual achievements in football.
The awards have been co-organized with UEFA since 2024, with Aitana Bonmati and Ousmane Dembele winning the main honors in 2025. This year, Harry Kane and Alexia Putellas are among the favorites for the top awards.
The ceremony is being held at the London Palladium, a shift from its previous venue at Paris' Theatre du Chatelet. The event pays tribute to Sir Stanley Matthews, the first recipient of the Ballon d'Or in 1956. Popular journalist Kate Scott is hosting, alongside Thierry Henry, with performances by Jorja Smith and French Montana.
