Barcelona Cancels Another Preseason Friendly Under Hansi Flick
FC Barcelona, under the management of Hansi Flick, has canceled another friendly match as part of its preseason preparations for the 2026-27 campaign. This cancellation marks the second such incident this summer.
On August 6, the club announced the cancellation of a planned friendly in Tangier, Morocco, which was intended to be their final overseas fixture. Although an opponent had not been confirmed, the match was deemed inappropriate to proceed due to current uncertainties.
Previously, Barcelona had also canceled a closed-doors match against Preston North End in England, which was called off due to Preston's inability to field enough first-team players. Looking ahead, Barcelona will participate in a triangular exhibition in Udine, Italy, on August 8, and will host Al Ahly for the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 19 before starting their La Liga season against Elche on August 23.
