Barcelona's Hansi Flick Reflects on Rashford Departure and Welcomes Gordon

Hansi Flick has commented on the return of Marcus Rashford to Manchester United after his loan spell at Barcelona, expressing that he will miss the forward. Rashford contributed significantly to Barcelona's success last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists in 49 matches, but the club opted not to make his transfer permanent for a fee of approximately £30 million.

In place of Rashford, Barcelona has signed Anthony Gordon from Newcastle for £69.3 million. Flick noted Gordon's eagerness to join the team and acknowledged the contributions of Rashford during his time at the club.

Barcelona recently played a pre-season friendly against Birmingham City, ending in a 2-2 draw, with Birmingham winning 3-2 on penalties. The match featured new signing Karim Adeyemi, who made his debut, and 18-year-old Hamza Abdelkarim, who scored twice. Flick remains focused on the current squad and has not commented on potential further signings.
