Barcelona's Raphinha Returns for PSG Clash Amid Defensive Injuries
Barcelona will face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, with Raphinha returning to the squad after recovering from muscular discomfort. He had missed previous matches against Getafe and Galatasaray due to this issue.
Raphinha's return coincides with Lamine Yamal's impressive form, as he contributed to Barcelona's recent victory over Real Betis. However, the team will be without defenders Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia, both of whom sustained injuries during the match against Betis.
Eric Garcia suffered a tear in his right thigh and is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks, missing not only the PSG match but also the upcoming El Clasico against Real Madrid. Kounde, on the other hand, has an ankle sprain and will not travel to Paris, though he may recover in time for the match against Real Madrid on October 25. In their absence, Barcelona will adjust their lineup, with Frenkie de Jong and Joao Cancelo stepping into defensive roles.
