Batista in Talks for Kratos Role in Amazon's God of War Series
Former WWE wrestler Batista is reportedly in discussions to take on the role of Kratos in the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series based on the God of War video game franchise. This news follows the injury of Ryan Hurst, who was initially cast for the role but suffered a torn bicep during filming.
Amazon and Sony are seeking to recast Kratos to allow production to continue later this fall. The series has been ordered for two seasons and will focus on the narrative of the recent games, depicting Kratos as he raises his ten-year-old son, Atreus, while confronting Norse gods.
The storyline involves Kratos and Atreus embarking on a journey to fulfill the last wishes of their wife and mother, Faye. Throughout their quest, Kratos aims to teach Atreus about godhood, while Atreus endeavors to guide his father towards humanity.
