Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala Collapses Due to Medication Change
Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala collapsed twice within four days during pre-season friendlies, prompting concerns about his health. Head coach Vincent Kompany stated that a recent adjustment in Musiala's medication contributed to these incidents, which occurred during matches against RB Leipzig and Heidenheim.
Musiala has been undergoing treatment for a neurological dysfunction that causes brief, manageable seizures. Bayern Munich was aware of his condition prior to the World Cup and the start of the last season, but it had not previously affected his performance on the field. Kompany noted that Musiala is receiving support from the club and is currently training individually.
Club sporting director Max Eberl emphasized the team's commitment to supporting Musiala, who had expressed a desire for his condition to be publicly acknowledged. Following his recent collapses, Musiala shared on social media that these seizures have become a part of his daily life.
