Beanie Bishop Impresses in Bears Debut with Two Interceptions

Beanie Bishop Jr. made a strong impression in his debut with the Chicago Bears during a preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. The former All-American from West Virginia is aiming to secure a spot on the Bears' main roster.

In the game, Bishop intercepted two passes, one from Shedeur Sanders and another from Dillon Gabriel, while also deflecting three passes and making several tackles. His performance came just a week after signing a contract following a successful tryout.

Prior to joining the Bears, Bishop was released by the New Orleans Saints after spending most of the 2025 season on their practice squad. He previously played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he recorded notable statistics during his rookie season, including four interceptions and seven pass deflections. Bishop remains determined to prove himself and hopes to find a permanent place on an NFL roster.
