Bears Chairman Confirms Plans for New Stadium in Indiana
The Chicago Bears reiterated their plans to construct a new stadium in Indiana during a press conference held last Thursday. Bears chairman George McCaskey confirmed the team's commitment to this project while discussing it during the preseason opener against the Browns.
McCaskey mentioned that the team has identified the Lost Marsh Golf Course as a viable site and is also evaluating the Wolf Lake terminal for potential development. He noted that the process is time-consuming and requires patience from stakeholders.
Despite the focus on Indiana, discussions continue regarding a potential solution in Illinois. On the same day as McCaskey's remarks, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell reportedly met with Illinois lawmakers, indicating ongoing negotiations. Meanwhile, the Bears will continue to play at Soldier Field in Chicago.
