Bears Confirm Kyle Monangai Will Miss Week 5 Game
The Chicago Bears have confirmed that running back Kyle Monangai will be unavailable for their upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers due to a toe injury.
Head coach Ben Johnson indicated that while Monangai's thumb injury was initially not concerning, the toe injury has proven to be more serious, necessitating a boot for the player. Monangai had a strong performance last week, rushing for 146 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over the Jets.
With Monangai sidelined, D'Andre Swift is expected to step back into the primary running back role. Swift had previously been benched after a fumble in the last game but expressed confidence in his ability to hold onto the ball moving forward.
