Bears Players Miss Practice as Week 5 Begins
The Chicago Bears began Week 5 with multiple players absent from practice, including running backs D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai, along with quarterback Caleb Williams.
Swift is dealing with hip and knee issues, while Monangai has thumb and toe injuries. Williams is recovering from a Grade 2 hamstring strain and is not expected to practice this week. Tyson Bagent has been named the starting quarterback in Williams' absence.
Other players who missed practice include offensive linemen Jonah Jackson, Joe Thuney, and Darnell Wright, all due to various injuries. Defensive lineman Grady Jarrett took a rest day, while linebackers Keyshawn Elliott and Noah Sewell, along with defensive lineman Shemar Turner, were limited in their participation. In contrast, defensive backs Kyler Gordon and Cam Lewis were full participants.
