Bears Sign Miller Moss to Practice Squad and Elevate for Game

The Chicago Bears have signed quarterback Miller Moss to their practice squad and elevated him for their game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. This decision comes as backup quarterback Tyson Bagent is listed as questionable due to a back injury, leading to expectations that he may not play.

Moss's elevation means he must be active to participate, as emergency third quarterbacks need to be on the active roster. If Bagent is unable to play, the Bears may opt for Case Keenum as the backup to starter Caleb Williams. Additionally, wide receiver Kaden Davis has also been elevated from the practice squad for the game.

To accommodate Moss's signing, defensive back Keidron Smith was released from the practice squad. Both Moss and Davis were part of the team during training camp and will return to the practice squad following the game.
