Bears Unlikely to Pursue EDGE Rusher Addition
Reports indicate that the Chicago Bears are unlikely to acquire a notable EDGE rusher, having not made any significant additions through trade, free agency, or the draft in recent months.
Although the team hosted A.J. Epenesa, they did not sign him, and there have been no meaningful connections to other EDGE defenders. Currently, the Bears are set to proceed with their existing players, who contributed to the team's fifth-fewest sacks in the league last season.
General Manager Ryan Poles has suggested that any potential additions will only be considered after evaluating the team's needs. Despite several notable free agents remaining unsigned, the Bears are not expected to pursue them, especially given their limited cap space of just over $8 million.
