Chicago Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III is anticipated to miss the preseason due to a groin injury, as reported by ESPN. The injury occurred during a practice session when Burden landed awkwardly after making a contested catch, getting entangled with cornerback Tyrique Stevenson.

The Bears are optimistic that Burden will be ready for the regular season opener against the Carolina Panthers on September 13. As a second-round pick in 2025, Burden has garnered attention during training camp, with head coach Ben Johnson likening his potential to that of All-Pro wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
