
Belfast Wolves Secure Victory Over Dublin Guardians in European T20 Premier League Opener
In the opening match of the European Twenty20 Premier League, the Belfast Wolves triumphed over the Dublin Guardians by 52 runs in the Netherlands. Glenn Maxwell, who captains and co-owns the Wolves, played a pivotal role, scoring 59 runs off 38 balls.
The Wolves set a target of 184 runs, finishing their innings at 184-7, with Mark Chapman adding 54 runs. In response, the Guardians managed only 132 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, with George Dockrell top-scoring at 35 runs. The Wolves' bowling attack included strong performances from Fred Klaassen and Matthew Humphreys, who each took two wickets.
