Bella Ayscue Recognized as NSCAA Defender to Watch
Bella Ayscue, a standout player for the Penn State women's soccer team, has been included in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Defenders to Watch list, as announced on Monday.
In the previous season, Ayscue participated in all 21 matches, contributing to the team's strong defensive record, which included only 25 goals conceded. Her performance helped the Nittany Lions achieve a shooting percentage against of .096 and an average of 1.19 goals allowed per game.
Ayscue not only excelled defensively but also made offensive contributions, scoring two goals and providing one assist, leading the team in shots-on-goal percentage at .571. She follows in the footsteps of teammate Kaelyn Wolfe, who was recognized on the same list last year.
