Bella Mir Aims for UFC and Olympic Success with Dana White's Support

Bella Mir, a 23-year-old wrestling champion, is set to pursue both a UFC contract and a gold medal at the 2028 Olympics, with the full support of UFC President Dana White. She is scheduled to compete on the Contender Series and will face Kennedy Blades, a 2024 Olympic silver medalist, in September for a chance to participate in the World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan.

Mir confirmed her Olympic aspirations to White prior to signing for the Contender Series, receiving encouragement from him regarding her dual goals. She aims to achieve titles in UFC, UFC BJJ, Zuffa Boxing, and Olympic wrestling, expressing her desire to build a legendary legacy rather than just chasing world titles.

Historically, no fighter has balanced UFC competition while actively pursuing Olympic gold. Mir's approach is unique, as she accelerated her MMA career due to difficulties in securing fights. She won the NCAA 145-pound title in her last college season and became the first college athlete to sign a UFC NIL deal. Mir is eager to have her first UFC fight by the end of this year and is also planning to marry in 2027.
