Bella Mir Receives Support from UFC Contender After Setback
Bella Mir has gained support from UFC welterweight Sean Brady after her recent defeat in Dana White's Contender Series. The daughter of former heavyweight champion Frank Mir faced Alex Apodaca, resulting in her first professional loss and missing out on a UFC contract.
Brady, who experienced a similar reaction after his own loss in 2022, criticized fans for labeling Mir's setback as a 'fraud check.' He expressed confidence in her future success, predicting she will eventually become a UFC champion.
Prior to this loss, Mir had a record of four consecutive wins and was the first athlete signed to a NIL deal by the UFC while still in college. She is set to compete against Olympic silver medalist Kennedy Blades for a chance to represent the U.S. at the World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan.
