Ben Kindel Returns to Practice with Pittsburgh Penguins After Health Scare
Ben Kindel has returned to practice with the Pittsburgh Penguins after experiencing a health scare last week. The 19-year-old center collapsed on the team's flight back from Utah due to a vasovagal episode, prompting an emergency landing.
During Tuesday morning's practice, Kindel skated on the second line with teammates Egor Chinakhov and Evgeni Malkin, and participated fully in drills. Penguins head coach Dan Muse confirmed that Kindel was back to full contact, expressing relief at having him back on the ice.
Following the incident, Kindel was taken to a hospital and released the next day. He expressed gratitude towards the team's medical staff and the flight crew for their professionalism. This season, he has recorded two points in nine games, and he previously had a successful rookie season with 35 points in 77 games.
