Ben Whiteman Reflects on Challenging International Break

Wrexham midfielder Ben Whiteman has expressed that the recent three-week international break proved to be more challenging than he anticipated. The summer signing noted a sense of emptiness during training sessions without an upcoming match to prepare for.

Despite the break allowing him to recover from extensive travel in previous weeks, Whiteman is eager to return to competitive play. He emphasized the importance of training with a game in mind and acknowledged the difficulty of being away from match action.

As Wrexham prepares for their match against Derby County, Whiteman highlighted the significance of their recent victory over Southampton, which he believes boosts their confidence. He remains focused on the immediate challenge ahead and the team's collective goal of promotion.
