Bengal Secures Nine-Wicket Victory Over Delhi in Ranji Trophy
Bengal triumphed over Delhi by nine wickets in their Ranji Trophy match held at the Bengal Cricket Academy ground in Kalyani, West Bengal. The home team successfully chased down a target of 89 runs, completing the task in just 15.3 overs.
Delhi, resuming their second innings at 101 for three, managed to score 277 runs, largely thanks to captain Ayush Badoni's impressive 85 runs. Bengal's spinners played a crucial role, taking seven wickets to restrict Delhi's scoring. The partnership between Badoni and Anuj Rawat, who contributed 39 runs, was significant in building Delhi's total.
In response, Bengal's openers, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Ankur Paul, set a solid foundation for the chase, scoring 34 not out and 38 runs respectively. Their efforts ensured a comfortable victory, allowing Bengal to secure six points in their tournament opener.
