Bhaichung Bhutia Advocates Respectful Language in Protests Against PM Modi

Former Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia has stated that while individuals have the right to protest and express their opinions, it is crucial to avoid abusive language, especially towards the Prime Minister. His remarks followed a protest in New Delhi where some participants used offensive slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bhutia highlighted that citizens can voice their concerns on various issues but should do so respectfully. He expressed that inappropriate language does not reflect well on individuals or society. Additionally, he mentioned his intention to collaborate with the government to enhance sports opportunities for youth.

Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker also criticized the use of abusive language, asserting that such behavior is not acceptable. Prime Minister Modi responded to the controversy by expressing hope that the involved youth would learn from their mistakes and not face punishment.
