Big Ten Extends Commissioner Tony Petitti's Contract Until 2033

The Big Ten Conference has confirmed a five-year extension for Commissioner Tony Petitti, which will keep him in his position until June 2033. This decision was unanimously supported by the Big Ten Conference Council of Presidents and Chancellors.

Petitti, who took over as commissioner in May 2023, has been recognized for his leadership during challenging times in college sports. His previous experience includes significant roles at CBS and the MLB Network.

Under Petitti's leadership, the Big Ten has achieved notable success, winning three consecutive National Championships and expanding from 14 to 18 teams in 2024 with the addition of four teams from the Pac-12.
