Bijan Robinson Becomes Highest-Paid Running Back Following Extension
This week, Bijan Robinson signed a three-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons, making him the highest-paid running back in NFL history. His deal could reach up to $75 million, adding him to the list of top earners in the league alongside Miami Dolphins' De’Von Achane.
Robinson's contract includes $51 million in guaranteed money, which is significantly higher than Achane's $32 million over four years. Additionally, Robinson will earn approximately $22.5 million annually, compared to Achane's $16 million, which is over 70% less.
Both players are close in age, with Robinson at 24 and Achane at 25. In the 2025 season, Robinson rushed for 1,478 yards, while Achane recorded 1,350 yards, placing them fourth and fifth in the NFL, respectively. The Dolphins' decision to extend Achane may be viewed favorably in the long run, potentially seen as a cost-effective move.
