Bill Belichick Explores NCAA Rule Changes for Player Additions
College football is currently facing a situation where several players, who were previously in NFL training camps, are looking to return to school due to recent NCAA rule changes. Bill Belichick has expressed interest in this development.
Belichick revealed that the North Carolina Tar Heels are exploring the possibility of adding some of the 16 players who have been granted a fifth year of eligibility through a temporary restraining order. These players can return to college football if they are released from NFL rosters by September 1.
Since taking over the Tar Heels last year, Belichick has indicated a desire to run the program similarly to an NFL team. With North Carolina coming off a 4-8 season, he is open to acquiring players who have demonstrated the ability to compete at the NFL level.
