Bills Make Roster Changes Ahead of Game Against Rams
The Buffalo Bills have announced several roster changes in preparation for their Monday night matchup against the Rams.
Wide receiver Trent Sherfield and defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis have been temporarily elevated from the practice squad. Additionally, cornerback Anthony Kendall has been signed to the active roster, while linebacker Mike Danna has been released.
Sherfield's promotion follows the ruling out of Joshua Palmer and the questionable status of DJ Moore. He joined the Bills in March and had previously returned to the practice squad after the summer roster cuts. In his career, Sherfield has recorded 89 receptions for 1,034 yards and six touchdowns over 124 games. Mathis provides extra depth as Ed Oliver is currently sidelined due to a knee injury; he recorded 13 tackles in six games for the Bills last season.
