Blaise Sokach-Minnick of Penn State Football Named to Mannelly Award Watch List

Blaise Sokach-Minnick, a long snapper for Penn State football, has been included in the Mannelly Award watch list, recognizing him as one of the top long snappers in college football.

Penn State football long snapper Blaise Sokach-Minnick has been selected for the Mannelly Award watch list, as announced by the team on Monday.

This award honors the best long snapper in college football and is named after Patrick Mannelly, who played at Duke and for the Chicago Bears from 1998 to 2013. The award also supports Bernie’s Book Bank, a non-profit focused on child literacy.

Sokach-Minnick is the third player from Penn State to receive this nomination since the award's inception in 2019, following Chris Stoll, the 2022 winner, and Tyler Duzansky, a finalist in 2025. Although Sokach-Minnick has participated in only two games each season for the past three years, he is expected to have a significant role this season after Duzansky declared for the 2026 NFL Draft.
