Blue Jays Activate Jameson Taillon, Option Ricky Tiedemann
The Toronto Blue Jays have reinstated right-handed pitcher Jameson Taillon from the 15-day injured list, and he is scheduled to start in Friday's game against the Kansas City Royals.
Taillon had been sidelined due to right forearm tendinitis since August 11. He made a rehab appearance at triple-A Buffalo on August 28, where he pitched 3.1 innings, allowing three hits, two walks, and four earned runs. He was acquired from the Chicago Cubs prior to the trade deadline and had a 3.38 ERA in two starts with the Blue Jays before his injury.
In a related move, left-handed pitcher Ricky Tiedemann has been optioned to triple-A Buffalo. Tiedemann has had a fluctuating season, recently appearing in relief for the Blue Jays, with his last outing on September 1 against the Cleveland Guardians.
