Williams delivered a standout performance, achieving a career-high 13 strikeouts, which contributed to the Blue Jays' offensive woes. The team managed only three hits throughout the game, with singles from Alejandro Kirk, Kazuma Okamoto, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., alongside a solitary walk.

Despite the disappointing result, there were some positive pitching performances for the Blue Jays, including a scoreless inning from Spencer Miles and a solid outing from Spencer Arrighetti. The Guardians took control of the game with key home runs, including one from Angel Genao. The Blue Jays, now 68-71, have two more games in the series to improve their standing in the American League wild-card race.
