Blue Jays' Jameson Taillon Exits Early Due to Elbow Discomfort

Jameson Taillon's return to the Toronto Blue Jays was cut short as he was pulled from the game after only two innings against the Kansas City Royals on Friday.

The right-hander threw 29 pitches before being replaced by reliever Joe Mantiply in the bottom of the third inning. Reports indicated that Taillon experienced discomfort in his right elbow, despite completing the second inning.

During his brief outing, Taillon allowed one earned run from a home run hit by Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr., along with two hits and one strikeout. He had recently been reinstated from the 15-day injured list, having been sidelined since August 11 due to right forearm tendinitis. Taillon, who was acquired from the Chicago Cubs, had previously recorded a 3.38 ERA in two starts for the Blue Jays before his injury.
