Blue Jays' Trey Yesavage to Consult Specialist for Knee Injury

Trey Yesavage, a right-handed pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays, is scheduled to visit a specialist in Texas due to a meniscus injury in his left knee. This follows an MRI that revealed the issue after he was initially placed on the injured list for left knee inflammation.

Yesavage experienced discomfort during a game in Houston, where he was removed after two innings. Prior to this incident, he had been performing well, having a 3.65 ERA over 18 starts this season. The team is hopeful to avoid surgery, according to manager John Schneider.

In addition to Yesavage's injury, Spencer Arrighetti, who was recently acquired by the Blue Jays, is also facing setbacks due to a foot injury that has delayed his return to the rotation. Arrighetti was pulled from a Triple-A start after previously hitting the injured list.
