Nix, who has been recovering from a fractured right ankle sustained during the divisional-round playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills, is eager to return to the field. He noted that the preseason is a valuable opportunity to gain experience against live defenses before the regular season begins.

While Nix is uncertain about his playing time on Friday, the Broncos plan to utilize both Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger in the game as they vie for the backup quarterback position.
