Booker T Celebrates Maya World's TBS Championship Win at AEW Redemption

Maya World has gained significant recognition in AEW, culminating in her recent TBS Championship victory at the AEW Redemption event. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, a supporter of World, shared his excitement about her win during a recent episode of the 'Hall of Fame' podcast.

World secured her title shot after intervening in a match to protect Queen Aminata from Hikaru Shida. In a surprising turn of events, she defeated Shida with a bridging suplex to claim the championship. Following this victory, World defended her title against Persephone on 'AEW Dynamite' with assistance from Kris Statlander.

Having officially joined AEW in December 2025, World previously showcased her talent in tag team matches and has transitioned to singles competition. She has faced notable opponents, including ROH Women's Champion Athena and former TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Before her AEW career, World competed in Booker's Reality of Wrestling, where she and Jada Stone became the inaugural ROW Women's Tag Team Champions.
