Borralho Opposes Chimaev's Title Shot in UFC
Caio Borralho has expressed his belief that Khamzat Chimaev should not be granted the next title shot in the UFC middleweight division. Borralho, who is aiming for a return in November or December following a rib injury, stated that Nassourdine Imavov deserves the opportunity instead.
Borralho pointed out that Chimaev is coming off a loss and has not proven himself worthy of a title challenge. He highlighted Imavov's previous fight history with Sean Strickland, suggesting that Imavov has done enough to earn the shot. Borralho is currently back in full training and anticipates starting his camp soon, aiming for one or two more victories before pursuing a title himself.
He is open to rescheduling his fight with Joe Pyfer but prefers to face a higher-ranked opponent, with Brendan Allen also being a potential matchup. Borralho noted that any top contender who wins their next fight could be in line for a title shot, emphasizing the competitive nature of the division.
