Bournemouth Signs Juanlu Sanchez from Sevilla for £11.1m
Bournemouth has officially signed right-back Juanlu Sanchez from Sevilla for a fee that could reach £11.1 million. The 22-year-old player joins the Cherries after making over 100 senior appearances for Sevilla, where he participated in prestigious competitions including the Champions League and La Liga.
Juanlu, who also contributed to Spain's Olympic gold medal victory in 2024, expressed his excitement about joining Bournemouth. The transfer includes an initial payment of £9.4 million, with potential add-ons of £1.7 million. Tiago Pinto, Bournemouth's president of football operations, highlighted Juanlu's experience and competitive spirit, noting his ability to perform at high levels.
This signing follows Bournemouth's earlier acquisitions of Antonio Silva and Alvaro Rodriguez, both for £25.7 million. As the team prepares for their inaugural Europa League campaign, they are also seeking a second goalkeeper to support Djordje Petrovic.
