Brad Marchand Suffers Knee Injury During Panthers Game Against Kings
Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand suffered a left leg injury during the second period of a game against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
The injury occurred when Marchand was struck in the face by Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke, causing him to twist and collide with the goal post, resulting in an awkward bend of his left leg. He remained on the ice for several minutes before being assisted to the bench by teammates, unable to put weight on his leg, and was subsequently taken to the dressing room.
Clarke received a four-minute double minor penalty for the incident, marking his second penalty of the game. Earlier, he had been penalized for interference against Eetu Luostarinen, who briefly left the game due to a cross-check from Clarke but later returned.
