Braden Smith Injured During Texans Practice
During a joint practice with the Panthers on Wednesday, Texans offensive tackle Braden Smith was carted off the field after sustaining a foot injury. Head coach DeMeco Ryans did not provide any updates on Smith's condition following the practice.
According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the specifics regarding the severity of Smith's injury remain unclear. Smith has been in competition with Trent Brown for the starting right tackle position, with both players currently listed on the Texans' first team depth chart, although Brown has received more first team reps recently.
In addition to Smith, Texans defensive lineman Ali Gaye was also carted off during the same practice, but details about his condition have not been disclosed.
