Brandi Rhodes Explains Decision to Abandon WWE Comeback Plans
Brandi Rhodes revealed her decision to abandon plans for a WWE in-ring return after spending two weeks training at the WWE Performance Center in 2022. Initially feeling ready to return to wrestling full-time after the birth of her daughter, Liberty, Rhodes faced unexpected challenges.
During her training, Rhodes worked with WWE veterans and enjoyed the experience. However, she noted that every time she left the ring, her daughter would cry and cling to her, which made it difficult for her to continue. This emotional response led Rhodes to reconsider the demands of a full-time wrestling career, particularly the travel and potential for injury.
Rhodes, who began her WWE career in 2011 and later worked with AEW, acknowledged that she ultimately felt unable to commit to the rigorous schedule required for wrestling while being a mother. Although she did not make the anticipated WWE return, she has remained connected to the company, joining her husband Cody Rhodes for his WrestleMania 40 entrance.
