Brandt Snedeker Selects Jackson Koivun for 2026 Presidents Cup
Brandt Snedeker has named 21-year-old Jackson Koivun as the last captain's pick for the 2026 Presidents Cup, despite Koivun's limited professional experience, having made his debut just months ago at the John Deere Classic.
Although Koivun missed the cut in his first professional outing, he achieved a remarkable victory at the 3M Open 2026, finishing with a score of 25-under 259, which included rounds of 64, 68, 61, and 66. He notably held off World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who praised Koivun's composure during the final round.
Snedeker expressed confidence in Koivun's abilities, highlighting his strong amateur background and recent successes. Koivun's experience includes leading Auburn to an NCAA championship and contributing to a Walker Cup victory for the USA in September 2025. His selection marks the first time since Jordan Spieth in 2013 that a player without a tour card at the start of the year will participate in the Presidents Cup.
