Despite only recording seven hits, the Braves capitalized on two errors by the Nationals, resulting in two unearned runs. Mike Yastrzemski opened the scoring with his eighth home run of the season in the third inning, while Matt Olson hit his 31st homer in the fourth, regaining the lead for Atlanta.
Dylan Dodd earned the win after a perfect fifth inning, following JR Ritchie, who was recently called up from Triple-A. The Braves' bullpen maintained the lead, allowing no hits and striking out seven over the final five innings, with Raisel Iglesias securing his 24th save.
