Brazilian Delegation Inspects Kolkata Stadium Ahead of India Match
A five-member delegation from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) visited Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium on Thursday to inspect the venue ahead of the highly anticipated football match between India and Brazil scheduled for October 3.
During their two-hour visit, led by Sergio Dimas de Oliveira, the officials evaluated various facilities including the training areas, pitch, dressing rooms, and hygiene standards. West Bengal Sports Minister Indranil Khan welcomed the delegation and expressed that they were pleased with the preparations made for the match.
The CBF has requested a follow-up on the pitch condition in 15 days and may conduct another inspection if necessary. The ongoing Durand Cup has demonstrated effective security and logistics at the stadium, which is expected to ensure a smooth experience for both players and fans during the upcoming match.
