Brendan Allen Defeats Christian Leroy Duncan by Submission

Brendan Allen achieved a fifth-round submission victory against Christian Leroy Duncan during the main event at the Meta APEX on Saturday.

The match featured a mix of striking and grappling, culminating in Allen taking Duncan's back in the final round and applying a choke that forced Duncan to tap out with just over two minutes remaining.

This victory marks Allen's eighth submission win in the UFC, likely elevating him from his current No. 5 ranking in the middleweight division. Conversely, Duncan's loss, which is his first stoppage defeat, will result in him dropping out of the top 10. Following the fight, Allen expressed interest in challenging champion Sean Strickland, who is currently in negotiations for a title defense against Nassourdine Imavov.
