Brendan Allen Secures Victory with Late Submission at UFC Fight Night
Brendan Allen triumphed in a challenging match against Christian Leroy Duncan, winning by submission in the fifth round during UFC Fight Night at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Allen, aged 30, claimed his 15th career UFC middleweight victory by executing a rear-naked choke at 2:46 of the final round, halting Duncan's five-fight winning streak. Despite Duncan's effective striking, which included jabs and body kicks, he lost a point in the second round due to an accidental eye poke.
In other fights, Jai Herbert defeated Matheus Camilo by unanimous decision in the lightweight co-main event, while Loopy Godinez won against Ketlen Souza in a catchweight bout. Andre Fili scored a quick knockout against Kai Kamaka III, and Otari Tanzilovi secured his first Octagon win with a knockout of Malcolm Wellmaker. The UFC Fight Night series will continue next Saturday in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
