Brennan Johnson Joins Everton in Swap Deal with Dwight McNeil
Everton has completed the signing of winger Brennan Johnson from Crystal Palace, while Dwight McNeil moves in the opposite direction to Selhurst Park. Both players have agreed to four-year contracts as part of this transfer swap.
Johnson, who joined Palace in January for £35 million, had limited impact with only 26 appearances and no goals. Meanwhile, McNeil, who nearly transferred to Palace earlier this year, has been a consistent performer for Everton, scoring 15 goals and providing 18 assists in 130 matches.
This transfer marks Johnson as the fifth summer signing for Everton, following the arrivals of Merlin Rohl, Hayden Hackney, Tyrique George, and Christian Norgaard. McNeil joins Palace's new signings, including defenders Oscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
