Brentford Secures £40m Deal for Defender El Hadji Malick Diouf
Brentford has finalized a verbal agreement with West Ham to acquire defender El Hadji Malick Diouf for a total of £40 million. The deal includes an initial fee of £35 million, with an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.
Diouf, a 21-year-old left-back from Senegal, has been given the green light to undergo a medical examination. He joined West Ham last year for £19 million but has not participated in the last two matches after playing in the Championship opener against Burnley.
This transfer marks a significant profit for West Ham, as Diouf's sale follows a season in which he made 34 appearances and provided five assists. If the transfer is completed, he will become Brentford's fifth signing of the summer, joining other new players like Callum Wilson and Mamadou Sangare.
