Brewers Advance to NLCS After Defeating Padres 3-1
The Milwaukee Brewers triumphed over the San Diego Padres 3-1 on Wednesday night, advancing to the National League Championship Series after a hard-fought Division Series. This victory marked the Brewers' first postseason road win since 2018, concluding the series in four games.
Milwaukee, which finished the regular season with 103 wins, took the lead early in the game. The Padres briefly tied the score with a home run from Fernando Tatis Jr., but the Brewers responded with an RBI single from Jackson Chourio, who set a franchise record for postseason RBIs. William Contreras also contributed significantly, finishing the game with two hits.
With this win, the Brewers will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, starting on Sunday in Milwaukee.
